Commissioned to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of famed collectors Arthur and Rosalinde Gilbert, this sterling silver Italian made box features green enamel detail, including the couple's names and their wedding date all surrounding a central micromosaic of a pair of doves. This specially made box was crafted by G. Petochi of the famed Italian jeweler family, who specialized in silversmithing and the art of the micromosaic. Arthur and Rosalinde Gilbert were world-renowned for their collection particularly of boxes and micromosaics so this item is an extraordinary memento of their lives, love and mutual passion.
